The woman who died was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend. Her husband of 60 years had cared gently for her during her illness. As I sat in church during the mass, I watched the faces and reactions of those present. In each face I saw the sadness that accompanies loss. The imprint of the deceased's touch was apparent in every tear, every expression. In her 80+years she had touched every individual there in a special way.
God, too, leaves His imprint on each one of our hearts, and we are encouraged to do the same. So the question for today is where have YOU left your imprint on another....when have you touched another heart this Lenten season? There are so many opportunities every day, yet, I know that if I don't pay close attention, I miss those opportunities. Let's make an extra effort to seize those moments throughout our Lenten journey....and carry it through life after the resurrection.
