So here's my story……..
I had a new outfit (navy and white) for Easter. I wanted to add a little pizzaz to it, so I thought I would seek out some hot red shoes, add a red flower to my lapel, and invest in a new red bag. I mean I had envisioned the whole outfit. Last week I purchased a pr of red pumps, got them home and realized they didn't have the kick (pun intended) I had hoped for. But I kept them just in case. Saturday (yes, the day before Easter) I found another red shoe…just the color I was looking for….a wedge heel, open peekaboo toe, fabric that looked like a silk. So, the lady in the store brought out the pair in my size. When I tried them on I wasn't sure if they would be a bit too snug or not, and I saw the sample shoes in the same size. To make a long story short, after I tried both prs on, I put one in the box. I was thrilllllllllled!!!! The purse matched perfectly and the red lapel flower…well, suffice it to say it was brilliant! Then came this morning……………….
I got all dressed (except for the shoes), make up on, hair looking great, then took the shoes out to wear. Hmmmmm, I thought, something looks strange……hmmmmm. Strange is right….two LEFT FEET!!!!! I kept looking and trying them on in absolute denial, but, hey, walking in two left feet was not gonna cut it. Needless to say, I had to put on a different pr…..a white sandal pump-nope, can't wear white til after Memorial day....a black pr was the closest to the navy, BUT…..I wanted to hide my feet because they D I D N' T M A T C H!
Moral of the story: DO NOT spend so much time agonizing over such a little thing....hmmmmmm, only thing is I can't change my genetic makeup. Whew, I'm so glad that day is over.
