Now this may all sound unpatriotic but it's not meant to. I am a proud American. But I think there must be an easier way to weed out people like myself. I kept thinking that I must have been put there at that time for some other reason…but, I've yet to figure out what the reason could be. And sitting there all those hours simply brought me back to too many months of sitting in court rooms with little justice resulting.
The judges have full dockets in the morning, so these cases aren't touched until the afternoon. In our case we met the judge at noon and he gave us lunch until 1:30! And then it was further questioning of another 14 with another 20 minute break after. I don't envy these judges or the workload they must carry. And I sure don't envy those who were chosen for this jury.
But I do thank God for sending me home!
