My mom, Alice Patricia Fahey, was such a ray of sunshine. She put on a happy face, irregardless of what she had going on in her own life. I learned so much from my Mom….kindness to others, helping those in need, giving freely of herself, patience, unconditional love and acceptance. She had the most forgiving heart, even in times of great distress. Mommy never threw people away. In fact, she kind of "collected" people….in a good way….and kitties and puppies.
My sassy redheaded mother was the epitome of femininity - always! She dressed with a flare, always matching jewelry and, of course SHOES! When she died, she had about 60 prs of shoes! And always she smelled lovely!! Actually beautiful fragrances were a necessity, not a luxury for the women in my family. My maternal grandmother used to mix her own perfumes, exquisite fragrances. I don't go a day without my perfume on, no matter what the occasion…or non occasion. Heaven only knows what she will wear for her party.
For now I'll imagine that she is right here with all of us.
We love and miss you, Momma.
