Then there's this other thing …singing. The song "How Can I Keep from Singing" was meant for me. Not surprising that I love to sing that song. Funny, recently I was asked what I do when I am not singing….but the thing is I'm always singing….be it in grocery lines, aisles of stores, at the gym, in the car, shower, walking the dog, cooking, swimming (yup, swimming) and I probably sing in my sleep. When I'm having a bad day I don't sing and suddenly it occurs to me that there is no sound coming out of me.
I'm grateful for all the blessings in my life and ever so grateful for this gift of music. Music, after all, is the universal language. Catatonic patients in hospitals actually respond when they hear music, sometimes they even begin to dance. People who are in semi coma states respond to music. It touches the very core of our souls.
What are you especially grateful for?
What will you do with that in this New Year?
How can you touch another life?
We have been given one life….let's make the best of it…..in whatever way is right for us.
The New Year gives us a time to refresh, and renew. It's like a shot in the arm.
I wish you all a blessed, peaceful, peace-filled New Year.
