Last night our Stations of the Cross, "Walking with the Angels: A Stations of the Cross inspired by the Our Lady of the Angels School Fire," was adapted from the book, To Sleep with the Angels. To say they were "moving" is an understatement. The performers provided the audience with deeply thought provoking memories.
I was privleged to co-cantor and as I looked at the faces of the people attending, I was once again reminded of the fragility of life. Many who attended the Stations had been in the school, while spared; or they lost siblings in the fire. Some watched their best friends die.
There are so many "why"s in this life, but there are no answers. As Christians come upon Holy Week, we are reminded that Christ, too, asked "why.
